Rise Above The Madness
This one is a Black cinema throwback from the 90s. I only recently seen Belly. First of all, the visuals were tight, as it was directed by Hype Williams. It wasn't far-fetched from his music video work, but it was something different for a movie. There's a lot to be said about the storyline too. It touched on a lot of things: violence, stereotypes, drugs, religion, the prison system, cointelpro, conspiracies...Actually, it probably touched on too many subjects for just the one movie. But anyway, as an artist, and from an artistic approach. I liked it.
